Scott and I have been blown away by the favor we have received from the Lord and the authorities regarding our adoption of Tanya and Viktor. Today we received an email saying that our I-600 application approval should be ready. TOMORROW.
We just applied for this 3 weeks ago, and they say it takes 60-75 days to finalize it. We had our biometric fingerprints done last week (early) as that is part of this process, which is getting approval from our government to bring two foreigners into our country after they are adopted.
Unbelievable.
We had the privilege of talking with Tanya and Viktor last week, through our amazing facilitator Natasha, and they told us, “We are waiting for you.”
We’ve been busy nesting, too! A friend said to me this week, “It’s like you’re pregnant with teenagers!” That’s how I feel, too. So much to get ready, so much to prepare, making room.
Our next step is sending our completed dossier to Ukraine, and having it translated and submitted to the authorities. Then just a little more waiting, and we get a travel date.
Even though this process has been so fast thus far, and relatively “easy” (although many, many hours and much hard work has gone into it), there are still 100 things that could go wrong. Would you continue to pray for us? The Lord is answering our prayers and yours too. We are so humbled by that.
I love hearing Scotty pray for Tanya and Viktor. I love watching Mary thank God for Tanya and Viktor. I love hearing Anna praise God that He has provided more than enough money to bring Tanya and Viktor home. God is building their faith, too, and growing and stretching us in new ways with new challenges like never before. What an amazing God we serve.
